Tom Holmes H450 Neck Humbucker PAF

$725.00
sold out

Unused NIB Tom Holmes H450 nickel cover PAF humbucker. 4 conductor wiring with an antique nickel. Pickup is unpotted, which is what you want for that vintage PAF tone! This is the "neck" pickup when you order a set from Tom. but obviously pickups are interchangeable and could be used in either position with great results. Measures 7.28k with my multimeter.

Tom Holmes was the repairman at Gruhn Guitars for almost 2 decades. He has taken apart/repaired more original PAFs than anyone else in the industry. In 1971 Tom set out to recreate the Ultimate 59 version of the '59 PAF. Gibson was so impressed that they had Tom design the winding machine and create the 90's Reissue Gibson 57 PAF. At the time, it was considered the best pickup that Gibson had made since the mid 60's. At some point, Gibson deviated from his design so he disassociated himself from the company and started winding his own pickups in Joelton, TN. Even the humbucker covers are hand made by Tom, and are considered by most to be the most authentic ever produced.

Tom has retired, so if you're looking for a Holmes NOS pickup for your guitar that you get to "break-in" with your own sweat and playing..here's your chance!

New in the box with tissue and paper towel that it was packaged in along with the screws/springs. Never soldered into anything. We just pulled it out of the box and unwrapped it for photos.
