It all started back in 2006…
Kevin and Shane started working together at Professional Music in Clive Iowa where they fast became friends and gear nerd compadres. Whether working on recording projects in Kevins studio or playing in various bands together the two have developed a long lasting friendship.
With a combined 50 years + of experience they have amassed a clientele that includes:

Shane
I started working in guitar shops in the early 90’s and have been fully immersed in the guitar culture since. From working behind the counter to building pedals boards and rigs for local and touring pros all the way to touring for the last decade as guitar tech for Imagine Dragons. I’ve always had a passion for making sure the right guitar ended up in the right hands. My boss has called me his “guitar sommelier” and I hope to be able to help more players find their voice here.

I got my start as a musician playing in various metal and indie rock bands throughout the 90’s. I’ve worked in music retail for over 25 yrs helping aspiring musicians and touring professionals encompassing all areas of music gear sales and repair. Beyond the midwest music scene, I have traveled all over the globe providing tour tech work for Imagine Dragons, Metric, Black Pumas, as well as Hinterland Music Festival.
Currently, I am the owner, producer and engineer at Redd 7 Recording studio in Des Moines, Iowa. I have had the pleasure of working in the studio with many local as well as national artists including members of Ryan Bingham's Dead Horses, Slipknot, Vimic, Sinsaenum, Black Pumas, Sturgill Simpson,David Ramirez and many many more.
At 35 South Vintage, I am looking forward to providing a personalized experience for all of our customers while delivering top shelf gear and red carpet customer service!
