1986 Red Marshall JCM800 2203 100 watt half stack
Here we have an incredible sounding Red 1986 Marshall JCM800 2203 100 watt head with the matching 4X12 cab.
If you're looking for a Marshall that has "it" look no further. Literally plug in, strum a chord and be prepared to be in tone heaven. Glass are winged C power tubes and newer preamp tubes. As you can see in the photos, the internals are super pristine and the top of chassis has some corrosion that was cleaned up. Tolex wear and tear from a rig that was lovingly used. Tolex on bottom of 4X12 it completely gone. Structurally the cab is solid with zero funky rattles. New rubber feet and removable casters have been installed as well.
The original owner had the DI pot removed and had a Post Phase Inverter Master Volume “PPIMV installed. This mod enables you to crank up the preamp and the power tubes for fully saturated nastiness without blowing your eardrums out. Incredibly musical and very useful for gigs and recording, as it doesn't suck your tone. The mod on this particular head utilizes the pre-existing DI pot hole, so there were no additional holes drilled into the chassis. We kept the mod in place, but the new owner can obviously remove it and put it 100% back to stock.
The cabs original 75 watt Celestions were removed and upgraded with 90’s era Celestion Modern Lead 70’s. After 30 plus years of playing, these speakers are broken in and sound fantastic.
Shipping costs cover custom made boxes, packing material and our time packing. Shipping amount on the listing is estimated on the high side and based upon calculated costs to CA and NY. Please message us with your complete shipping address if you would like an accurate shipping quote.
