Revolution Recording Redd 47 John Hinson Preamp

$3,300.00
sold out

Up for sale is an extremely rare Revolution Recording Redd 47 preamp built by John Hinson. If you’re looking at this, you probably already know what this is. This is a very accurate replica of Redd 47’s that were in the Redd 51 desk at Abbey Road.

John Hinson had schematic drawings that he acquired while he worked for EMI and built these in a very limited number in the late 90’s early 00’s. John was a designer for Universal Audio, Marquette Labs, and Lisson Grove.

The R47 tube pre-amps were not mass produced. This series of pre-amps he built using only the highest-quality components, sound wide and clear and were made to be as close to the originals as they could. Hand built, etched front plates, the best of best internal components..absolutely no expenses spared. These preamps were custom ordered and sold for $3k when new 20 years ago, and due to the rarity, worth even more today. Since that time other companies have made replicas of this preamp, but they are made for commercial sale and profit. I'm sure they're accurate replicas but not built to the standards of these units.

Billy Corgan, Lenny Kravitz, Brian Kehew and a few fortunate others had these originally.

The magic of these boxes is real. Absolutely incredible. There weren’t any other versions of this available until Chandler here in Iowa starting building them in 2015. As far as exact production numbers for the Hinson R.47's... there weren’t many!

These Hinson builds never ever come up for sale for good reason, just not very many of them out there, and those lucky enough to have one of these will never part with it. I'm just fortunate enough to have several of these, in need of some cash for other projects, and have decided to let one go for someone else to enjoy!

This could be in your rack. An absolute game changer for your studio!! Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity.
