1964 Gibson SG JR
Up for grabs in an amazing 1964 Gibson Jr. Absolutely killer tone. Super resonant unplugged and then once you plug it in... look out!!! This one "has it. The original P90 is perfectly balanced. Not to trebly, really sounds incredible. Original electronics appear undisturbed. Original pick guard has shrunk up some and has some cool waviness to it, and the original weather checked finish looks amazing in person as well.
Original owner didn't like the original wrap around setup and had a bridge and tailpiece installed. The work was done way back in the day, and done right so that it intonates and sounds in tune all the way up and down the neck. Guitar was re-fretted earlier this year with some really nice/meaty wire. Can grab notes and bend them to the moon and back.
Some of these can be very problematic with staying in tune..this one is super stable and holds tune well.
Comes in a newer hardshell case so that that neck stays unbroken!!
All the work has been done to it and it's ready to rip on stage or in the studio. IF this hadn't of had the bridge added etc, it would be way more. As it sits, this is an amazing deal for someone who's looking for that perfect Junior to shred on!
We have a couple of black light photos of the head stock etc as well so you can see it's never been refinished or any funny business.
