1978 Dean Elite
Super cool project guitar pretty much ready to go with only cosmetic issues to be addressed, or forgotten about because it's a fun playing guitar. We got this as an over-sanded husk of a 1978 Elite that had a poor refin and someone had started to strip the neck again so we decided to make a fun vintage player out of it. Also, in a prior attempt to "restore" this guy the bridge was installed in the incorrect position then plugged. It has since been refretted with jumbo Jescar wire, bridge located properly and replaced with a wrap around Pigtail bridge with Tone Pros locking studs. All of the electronics have been replaced with CTS and Switchcraft components and period correct pickups, The bridge is a vintage Dimarzio and the neck I believe is Schaller. The guitar plays and sounds great and is a cheap way to get into a super cool vintage guitar for very little money.
Original Dean hardshell case that comes with the guitar has some structural damage along the bottom. Just needs to be reinforced or repaired to make it solid again! (see photos)
