1976 Fender Tube Reverb Head Unit New Old Stock in Box
Here we have a New Old Stock 1976 Fender Reverb Unit. This has lived inside its original Fender factory shipping box for 48 years inside it's Victoria luggage cover.
All the components appear original. Pretty sure we are the first to have opened this up since it left the factory. We slowly warmed it up with a variac, slid the spring lock mechanism out, and tested it out. It sounds glorious, Nothing has been serviced on it. Since this is a time capsule, we decided to leave it untouched/undisturbed as it was from the factory. We'll leave that to the new owner to decide what they want to do with it as far as re-capping etc.
Some of the original shipping packaging is missing. There is tissue and a bottom stryofoam piece inside the box. As you can see in some of the photos, some of that stryofoam from the bottom of the box has adhered itself to the tolex. We're guessing that most of that would come off with a gentle cleaning. Once again, we're leaving that to the new owner.
